About

Sai Animals Welfare Ashram was started by the late Vishwant Kumar and is now run by his son Kunaal Kumar. This Non-profit shelter mainly takes care of distressed, unwell and injured dogs and provides them with adequate care and treatment. The shelter currently has an occupancy of approximately 300 stray dogs that are being fed and taken care of. We believe that each dog deserves love and protection, and thus try our very best to make sure they have a good environment to spend their lives in.

How Can You Help

We appreciate monetary donations but we request that donations are made in cheque to the name of the organization. Please ensure that a receipt is issued and the payment is in the right name.

We understand that not everyone can donate monetarily, thus there are a few other ways that you can help us:

Food

The dogs mainly eat rice and chicken, while the puppies eat Cerelac, any food donations will directly go into the tummies of our furry friends.

Cleaning Supplies

We need cleaning materials to keep the shelter sterile and hygienic.

Medicines

Tick’s and flea’s are common problems with most dogs, and anti tick medicines are easily available at any pet store. Other medicines such as normal antiseptics are also needed to heal wounds.

We also do adoptions, but we advise that they are considered very seriously, as taking care of a dog is a huge responsibility and we want the dog to go to loving and caring owners.

Most importantly, you can come visit us, volunteer and play with the dogs, as they need all the love and attention they can get.
